Diane Fullerton joined GBS Benefits, as the Chief Operating Officer in February of 2007. Diane oversees the day to day operations of GBS Benefits, which includes a staff of over 120 employees and four office locations. Diane has strong relationships within the industry and community and utilizes her networking skills to involve the firm in industry and community events and initiatives. In addition to her role at GBS Benefits, Diane is the Founder of School Opportunity Stores, a non-profit organization which operates in Title One Schools across the Salt Lake Valley, impacting over 5,000 students. Founded in 2001, School Opportunity Stores allows disadvantaged students to purchase household necessities, family gifts, and even food and toys from the school store as a reward for individual accomplishments or positive behavior within their classroom.

Chief Operations Officer
Scott joined GBS Benefits in June of 2017. Prior to joining the firm as President, Scott served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for SelectHealth with additional responsibilities for community benefits, health promotion, and wellness. He has over 20 years of sales, marketing, underwriting, and actuarial experience. He held past roles at SelectHealth as the Director of Large Employer Sales and the Director of Large Employer Underwriting. Before joining SelectHealth, Scott held actuary and underwriter positions at Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah, Regence BlueShield of Idaho, and PacifiCare of Utah. Scott began his career with Roy & Associates, an actuarial consulting firm specializing in employer sponsored retirement and disability plans. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Utah and is a licensed in Health and Life Insurance
Ali has over 25 years of experience in Client Development and has been an Employee Benefits Broker since 2006. Ali has worked with all lines of coverage, in the benefits marketplace, from Captive Programs, MEC, Ancillary lines to Partially Self-funded plans. In addition to her Benefits experience, she has an extensive background in self–funded management and reinsurance. Ali strives to streamline benefits and HR challenges of our clients, this way they can focus on their core business. She is dedicated to help business owners develop a customized strategic employee benefits package with emphasis on plan design, long term premium cost containment, and employee education. She is fully licensed and certified with the State of Idaho Department of Insurance, maintaining a license in health, life and disability.
Chris Nelson has been in the health insurance industry since 2012 Prior to joining GBS in 2017, Chris was an account executive for a third-party administrator, working directly with many small and large self-funded benefit plans. This position gave Chris valuable experience in health plan reporting and analytics, reinsurance contracts, and large claims negotiations. Chris also worked for OptumHealth Bank and has experience with health savings accounts. Chris attended the University of Arizona, where he earned a B.S. in public health. He is licensed to sell health, life, and disability insurance.
Christian Kunz joined GBS Benefits in early 2015 as an Employee Benefits Broker. His clients appreciate his analytical nature and his ability to accurately assess their needs and explain their benefit options with clarity. Christian enjoys the challenge of tailoring specific benefit solutions to align with the unique objectives of each client’s organization and employee population. He works closely with the GBS Benefits underwriting, analytics, and clinical teams to maximize each group’s opportunities for savings. Prior to GBS Benefits, Christian worked in commercial real estate with Marcus & Millichap where he focused on the acquisition, disposition, and underwriting of investment properties. Christian attended Brigham Young University where he earned a B.A. in Economics with Minors in Business Management and Japanese. He loves outdoor recreation, specifically those activities involving a motor and accompanied by water, snow, or dirt. He is a licensed consultant in Health & Accident and Life Insurance.
Dan McKean is a broker with GBS Benefits. In his role, Dan assists clients with benefit design, education, and negotiation. Prior to joining GBS Benefits in 2009, Dan was employed with Humana as a Small Group Sales Executive. His strong carrier background is advantageous as he helps clients understand what is available in the marketplace and negotiates with carriers on their behalf. Dan attended San Diego State University where he studied Business Administration and Management. He is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.

Don McKean is an employee benefits broker with over 35 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining GBS Benefits in 2007, Don worked for a variety of medical carriers that rendered services to both Fortune 500 and smaller companies. His responsibilities included direct sales, account management, financial analysis, consultation, service delivery and staffing. Don has significant self-funding experience working with large, multi-site employers that required the administration of complex benefit programs. Don received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, both from the University of Utah. He is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.
Elizabeth Fineberg joined the Volk GBS team as a Broker in 2017. She has been in the insurance industry since 1999, previously working as an Independent Insurance Agent with Aflac. Elizabeth worked as a part of the Broker Development team in Colorado, and as a specialized Worksite Benefit Specialist with Volk GBS clients since 2003. She thrives on helping clients find ways to enhance their overall benefit packages while providing a consultative approach to sales. Elizabeth is a licensed consultant in both Health and Life insurance.
Gabe Christensen joined GBS in May of 2018 bringing with him over 15 years of experience in group benefits. Prior to joining GBS, he was a broker and the proud owner of LTC Specialties, LLC for 15 years. Clients appreciate Gabe’s attention to detail as well as the impeccable customer service he provides. Over the years, Gabe’s focus has been on providing the best benefits at the best price for each client. Gabe earned a Bachelor’s in Science in Business in 2001 and is a proud alumni of Utah State University. He is licensed in Accident, Health, and Life.

Gordon has over 25 years of employee benefit experience — exclusively working in the large group market with a primary focus on employers of 100+ employees. For more than 15 years Gordon worked for SelectHealth, acting as department director of Large Employer Group Sales and handling all of their self-funded accounts. He is trained in underwriting and medical plan development and was responsible for sales training at SelectHealth. Gordon has been with GBS Benefits for nine years, adding extensive knowledge and experience to our sales team with his self-funded background. Gordon attended the University of Utah where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is licensed in Health, Life, and Disability Insurance.

Jason Wagner has been working in the health insurance industry since 2000, and joined GBS Benefits as a Consultant in 2003. He has extensive experience in all insurance lines that relate to group benefit plans. Prior to joining GBS Benefits, Jason was a Sales Representative for Sun Life Financial. He was responsible for growth and product development with employer groups, Brokers/Agents, Consultants, insurers and TPAs. His main focus was working with self-funded clients. Jason graduated from Brigham Young University with a Broadcast Communications degree with an emphasis in Media Sales and Management. Jason is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.
Karen Brown is an employee benefits broker with nearly 25 years of healthcare and group benefits experience. Prior to joining GBS in 2017, Karen worked for several years with Moreton and Company and Diversified Insurance. In 2013, she joined UnitedHealthcare as the Director of Account Management. Karen’s strengths are her analytical approach, commitment to customer service, and ability to build strong relationships. Karen earned a Bachelor of Art in Business Marketing with a minor in in Public Relations from the University of Northern Colorado. She is licensed in Accident, Health, and Life.
K.C. joined GBS Benefits in 2016 as an Employee Benefits Broker. Prior to joining GBS, K.C. served as president and co-founder of a software company specializing in mobile apps. Upon the acquisition of his company in 2015, K.C. worked as a consultant for several large organizations helping each improve in the areas of sales, software integration, and project management. He is excited to use his experiences as a business owner to help his clients in the world of health benefits. K.C. played Division 1 basketball at Utah State University while earning his degree. K.C. holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts with Minors in Spanish and Business Management as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration. K.C. is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.
Koner has over 20 years of experience in the implementation and administration of self-funded plans and joined LGBS in 2008. Prior to joining LGBS, Koner served as president and co-founder of Mediversal, Inc. for 14 years. Mediversal was an administrative services organization which provided third-party administration, utilization review, provider networks, and reinsurance placement to self-funded health and workers compensation plans until being acquired in 2005. Koner graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Accounting and Finance and is licensed in the State of Nevada.
Landon Fielding joined GBS Benefits in early 2015 as an Employee Benefits Broker. Landon has been in the employee benefits field since 2008. He has worked in various areas of the insurance industry, including underwriting and sales. Through his industry experience, he has come to enjoy the complexity and strategy associated with self-funded cases, and how risk and technology partner together to redefine the employer experience. As technology continues to reshape the insurance landscape, he has the understanding and background to provide the right solutions tailored to fit your specific business needs. Laura Peifer has nearly 30 years of healthcare industry experience and joined the GBS Benefits team as an employee benefits broker in 2011. Formerly with Wise Provider Networks (WPN) as a Principal Consultant, she handled the negotiation, contracting, and management of custom healthcare networks. In her specialized role she worked with many high-profile and Fortune 500 companies.
At GBS Benefits, Laura works with small employers as well as large corporate clients headquartered throughout Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. Laura has experience with both fully-insured and self-funded arrangements. Laura’s clients appreciate her strategic approach which is centered on developing cost-saving strategies. She has partnered with the Associated Builders & Contractors of Utah to create an exclusive pool for small businesses looking to avoid community rating.
Laura has been a repeat recipient of the prestigious Chairman’s Circle Award recognizing the top 10 insurance brokers within the nationwide Leavitt Group organization. Within the community, Laura serves with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Salt Lake and founded the Kids Eat! program at the Club providing meals to children and families at home and after school. Laura earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah and is licensed in Health, Life, and Disability Insurance.
Lee Robison has been in the insurance industry since 1978. He joined LGBS in 1997 having previously worked in life insurance and estate planning and for a national health insurance carrier coordinating marketing and underwriting. Over his career, Lee has been involved with A wide-range of clients, including multi-state businesses. He has helped design, implement, and service various partially self-funded health plans, working closely with carriers, underwriters. and administrators. In addition, he has worked with collective bargaining units and served as the benefits consultant for a local firefighters’ union. He has been a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Clark County Association of Health Underwriters, and National Association of Life Underwriters. Lee is licensed in the state of Nevada.
Logan Greene joined GBS in 2017 as an employee benefits broker bringing with him 12 years of experience in the health insurance industry. Prior to GBS, he worked for UnitedHealthcare in small group sales. In 2012, he was recognized as the top Sales Account Executive at UHC. Clients appreciate Logan’s depth of knowledge, ability to foster strong relationships, and his responsiveness to their needs. He graduated from the University of Utah with a major in Spanish and a minor in business. He is licensed in Accident, Health and Life insurance.

Mark Johnson has been with GBS Benefits for over 10 years, and brings a detailed knowledge of employee benefit programs including group health plans, dental, vision, life, long and short-term disability plans, employee assistance programs, flexible spending accounts, and 401(k)s. Mark has 18 years of prior experience with EMI Health, where he worked in various aspects of employee benefits, and held many leadership positions, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Matt Evelyn has over nine years of health insurance industry experience. He is currently the Vice President of Employee Benefits, managing Volk GBS’s large group accounts. Matt received his Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Florida. Matt began his career working in analytics for Gallagher before moving onto Cigna Healthcare. He spent seven years at Cigna as a New Business Manager educating employers on medical products, mainly focusing on self-funding. Matt is a licensed consultant in Health and Life insurance.
Parker joined LGBS in 2016 and quickly earned the distinction of Top New Producer. He enjoys having conversations with clients and listening to their needs. Parker excels at finding solutions and matching a benefits package that aligns with the budget and requirements of his clients. Parker earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is licensed in the State of Nevada.
Rebecca Kunz came to GBS Benefits in early 2014. Rebecca’s varied background at the firm has given her strong experience in renewal strategy, employee education, and benefit design. She began her career in education and spent five years in the classroom followed by two years in account management at a creative agency. Rebecca earned a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and a Master’s Degree from Utah State University. Rebecca enjoys serving as an Ogden School Foundation Board Member working to enhance the educational opportunities for students in the Ogden School District. She is licensed in Health & Accident and Life Insurance.
Richard Jensen has been involved with employee benefit consulting since 1989. Prior to joining GBS Benefits in 2000, he spent 6 years with Health Benefits America (HBA), a national benefits consulting firm, providing strategies for health plan offerings and benefit design for several Fortune 100 companies. Following HBA, he spent over 5 years with CNN Managed Care, the largest national PPO network, as a Regional Vice President for the Utah, Idaho, and Colorado markets, delivering provider network solutions to large accounts. Richard received his Bachelor’s degree in English and German from the University of Utah and Master’s of Business Administration from Brigham Young University. He is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.

Rick joined Leavitt Group / GBS as Managing Principal in April, 2007 following seven years as President of Benepro, a full service Employee Benefits firm in Arizona. Rick has several years of experience on the carrier side that benefits his clients having served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for United Healthcare, Healthpartners Health Plans, and Samaritan Health Plans. Prior to these positions, Rick was Vice President of Underwriting for CIGNA for 9 year. Rick has over nine years’ experience in underwriting all products provided in employee benefit packages including medical, dental, short and long term disability, Life, cafeteria plans, Section 125 and 401K products. Prior to underwriting and sales positions, Rick managed Payroll and Benefits for CIGNA and its 15,000 employees. Rick graduated from Holy Cross College with a B.A. in Economics and from Cornell University with a Masters in Business Administration concentrating in Finance. He is licensed in the state of Arizona.
Rick has nearly 13 years of experience in the group benefits field. Prior to joining GBS Benefits in 2008, he was with Dental Select and Altius Health Plans. Rick earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in Insurance, Risk Management, and Financial Services. He later went on to receive a Master’s of Business Administration and Health Services Administration from the University of Utah. Rick is licensed in Health, Life, and Disability Insurance.
Riley Nelson joined the GBS Benefits team as a Broker in 2015 bringing with him a strong background in sales and ongoing account management. Just prior to GBS Benefits, Riley was an Account Executive with CVE Technologies, a channel reseller for major IT companies. While there he grew his sales territory from $0 to $1.6 million in just 18 months. Riley played football as a Division I quarterback at Brigham Young University and graduated in August 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. He is fluent in written and conversational Spanish with an IRL Level 4 Full Professional Proficiency. Riley is licensed in Accident & Health and Life Insurance.

Rob has over 20 years of employee benefit experience since starting in 1987. He spent 10 years working for several insurance carriers including SelectHealth, FHP and Pacificare. While working for these carriers Rob held positions in large group sales, management and upper management positions. He also served on the underwriting committee and appeals committee for 3 years with these carriers. Rob has worked for the past 12 years with GBS as a producer and specializes in large group, fully insured and self-funded companies with 100+ employees. Rob specializes in the benefit areas of medical, dental, life, disability and vision products. Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.

Scott Fielding has been in the insurance industry since 1990. He joined GBS Benefits in 1994, and served as a partner prior to the merger with the Leavitt Group in 2006. Scott has extensive expertise in fully insured, retrospective, and self-funding contracts. He specializes in creative employee benefit plan design, HRAs, HSAs and self-funded plan designs, TPA & PBM negotiations, association plan creation, negotiation and plan management. He has an extensive knowledge of underwriting methodologies and carrier negotiations. Scott is a professional with the ability to quickly understand the key issues and develop solid business processes and solutions. He is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.
Shauna Romine has lifelong experience with the health insurance industry and has been involved with GBS since its inception in 1989. She first worked as a Sales Director outside the insurance industry managing high profile clients, executing and negotiating contracts, securing long-term relations while serving their specific needs. In 2004 Shauna returned to GBS as a Group Benefits Specialist, utilizing the skill-set she has built over the last 20+ years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in Finance and Marketing and is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.

Spencer Greene is a Benefit Consultant who partners with business leaders and Human Resource professionals to reduce the expense of insurance and improve employee health. After spending more than 25 years of experience working in health care and insurance industry, Spencer is positioned to help companies build unique and innovative solutions that improve employee service and decrease claim trend. He has worked for some of the largest insurance companies including UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield and CIGNA. Spencer has extensive sales and leadership experience working with small to large companies, public sector, health care, tribal groups, and business associations. He is active in the community and continues to partner with local charities and church organizations to provide fund raising and service to children in need. Spencer holds a BA in communications and advertising with a minor in business from Brigham Young University.
Stephanie Conti joined GBS Benefits in 2009 bringing 22 years of experience from Regence BlueCross & BlueShield of Utah where she was a Senior Sales Executive. She specifically worked with employer groups and brokerage firms of all sizes and locations regarding product design, underwriting guidelines and rate negotiation. Stephanie developed an expertise in fully insured & self-funded arrangements for medical, dental and ancillary product offerings. Her extensive knowledge and proficiency as a Sales Executive & Account Manager have made her an asset to her clients. Stephanie is licensed in Health, Life and Disability Insurance.
Steve Cochran joined GBS Benefits in 2014 bringing 4 years of experience selling insurance in the Uintah Basin. He graduated from Utah Valley University and has a wealth of industry expertise. As a student at UVU, he founded a website and local store-front retailing sport supplements and co-founded J3LL Watches. Steve is licensed in Accident, Health and Life Insurance.
Tim operates the GBS Benefits Vernal office with over ten years of experience in the health insurance industry. He is licensed in Health, Life, and Disability Insurance, and has experience assisting both small and large employers with their employee benefit needs. Tim previously served on the Broker Advisory Board with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah and was recognized as a top producer while doing so. Prior to entering the benefit industry, Tim owned his own business, giving him unique insight to help assess the needs of employers.
Tina Ramey joined Volk GBS in September of 2011. Prior to joining the firm as Vice President of Business Development, Tina served as the District Sales Manager at PayChoice, working to help businesses find solutions to deliver sustainable benefits by connecting employees and work practices. Tina has over 12 years in the insurance industry, working to manage and develop teams. She works strategically with a company’s leadership team helping to drive their goals and initiatives, leveraging all of the different resources, divisions, and products to help clients build their businesses. Tina obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and she is a licensed consultant in Health and Life insurance.
Travis Argyle has over 18 years of experience as a licensed benefits consultant. Prior to joining GBS in 2018, Travis was the owner if a benefit firm in Idaho for 13 years. With a proven strategic approach to benefits consulting, Travis and his co-owners built this firm into one of the largest headquartered in the State of Idaho. He consults with employers of all sizes and has experience in all lines of benefits. Travis attended University of Idaho where he studied Business management. He is licensed in Health, Disability and Life Insurance.
Trent has been in the health insurance industry since 1994 and is licensed in Health, Life, and Disability Insurance. He has held sales, underwriting, and management positions locally with BlueCross BlueShield, Altius Health Plans, and UnitedHealthcare of Utah. As an experienced broker in the local healthcare market, Trent is familiar with the challenges of employee benefits and the options that are available for large and small businesses. He can assist with insurance plans of all sizes and has had particular success developing employee benefit plans for large associations in Utah. Trent received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Weber State University.
Tyler is a group benefits specialist with over 20 years of healthcare experience and is licensed in Health, Life, and Disability Insurance. He has expertise in all sizes of groups, with an emphasis in self-funding arrangements. From 1991-2000, Tyler worked at Dale Barton Agency as an employee benefits specialist on insurance specific to construction companies. He has also served as the education chair for Utah Association of Health Underwriters. Tyler graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Sales.
Director of Regional Operations
Ashley joined GBS Benefits in 2012. She was new to the healthcare industry at that time, but didn’t hesitate to jump right in! Since working at GBS, Ashley has served in a variety of roles. Bringing the experience of owning her own small business, it was a natural fit that she be a part of the Small Employer team. Ashley would eventually lead the Small Employer team as the Director. In 2017, GBS began to expand into other regional markets outside of Utah. Ashley took on this new role which includes maintaining partnerships and guiding consistent business practices throughout all offices. Today, she manages the strategic operations for the GBS regional agencies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Utah and is licensed in Health, Life and Disability.
Adriane joined GBS in 2009 as part of the in-house population health team, and has since transitioned to the Broker role. Prior to GBS, Adriane worked at Regence BlueCross BlueShield for 13 years with much of that time spent in the small and large group underwriting departments. Adriane worked on forecasting healthcare spend and budgeting for companies from 100 to over 5,000 employees. She has a solid track record in benefit and network design along with creative funding options to meet the needs of employers in the evolving healthcare industry. Her extensive industry experience provides GBS clients with an extra level of confidence when making decisions regarding their employee benefits. Adriane attended the University of Utah where she studied Economics and Business Administration. She is licensed in Health, Life and Disability Insurance.
AJ Argyle joined GBS in 2018 bringing with him over 15 years of experience as a licensed benefits consultant. Previously, AJ was the owner of a benefits firm in Idaho for over 10 years. With a proven strategic approach to benefits consulting, AJ and his co-owner built their firm into one of the largest headquartered in the State of Idaho featuring the highest client retention rate in the state. That trend continues today with our large group clients. AJ consults with employers of all sizes and has experience in all lines of benefits. AJ is licensed and experienced in Group Health, Disability and Life Insurance.
Bryan is a Benefits Consultant who partners with businesses to provide innovative strategies to help with the overall goals and objects of their business. He began in the healthcare industry in 2004, and he is driven by the love of helping businesses find the right fit for their needs.
Prior to joining GBS, Bryan gained his expertise as the Colorado Market President at CBIZ Benefits & Insurance, growing and leading high-performance sales teams throughout the region. He has extensive sales and leadership experience working with small to large companies, public sector, healthcare, and business associations.
Bryan received his Bachelors of Science degree from San Diego State University. He is involved with the Court Appointed Special Advocate program in Boulder County. Bryan is licensed in Life & Health insurance.
VP, HCMS, Benefits Consultant
Cori is the Vice President, HCMS and Benefits Consultant at GBS Arizona, joining the team in 2019. She has worked as an HCM and Benefit Consultant for over 10 years. Cori is a seasoned professional, and she has worked closely with many large public and private employers throughout Arizona and the West. She also has unique expertise in working with HRIS platforms, COBRA administration, compliance, consumer driven benefits and wellness programs. Cori obtained her B.A. in Business Management & Computer Science from Alverno College and is licensed in Accident, Health, and Life. She is also involved in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Dress for Success, A New Leaf, and Arizona Women’s Education and Employment (AWEE).
Don is a Senior Benefits Consultant with over 36 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining GBS in 2018, he founded and managed a local independent Benefit consulting firm in 1985 with a major presence in the Arizona Market. Don has specific expertise in the self-funded space and has brought several TPA and Carrier solutions to the market over the years. His reputation and expertise in the industry was an attractive fit for the GBS launch in the Arizona market. Clients appreciate how he spends time educating them on the changing healthcare landscape, including the Affordable Care Act. In addition, Don continues to play an active role in protecting the interests of business owners through his involvement with the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and the Self Insurance Institute of America (SIIA). He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) as well as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS).
Eric is a Benefits Broker who is passionate about partnering with businesses to be their trusted consultant in solving their health insurance needs. Prior to joining GBS Arizona in 2019, he spent 10 years as the Co-Founder and President of a multi-national consumer good business with locations in Arizona, London, and Sydney. His experience as an owner gives Eric direct insight to the strategies and solutions that business owners need.
Eric received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He is licensed in Health and Life insurance.
Jake joined the GBS team as an Employee Benefits Consultant in 2019. Prior to GBS, he learned the ins and outs of working with large organizations during his time in Marketing at Anheuser-Busch. Jake has a passion for serving others and creating strong, meaningful connections with each of his clients and their employees. He is proactive in finding new technology and innovative solutions that help create a positive employee experience. Jake obtained his degree from Arizona State University and he is licensed in Health and Life.
Leslie has been in the insurance industry since 2004 and features a strong emphasis in the national client sector. Having held Large Employer Sales positions at both SelectHealth and Regence BlueCross BlueShield, she has in-depth knowledge of underwriting guidelines, self-funding, rate negotiations, and strategic product placement. Leslie was responsible for the retention, growth, and product development for the group plans in which she managed. Within her first year at Regence, Leslie was recognized as one of the company’s top Account Executives. She loves the collaborative approach and thrives in building long-lasting relationships.
Joining GBS in 2014, her proactive analysis and ability to identify ideal solutions for her client’s needs, quickly led to her role as a Consultant. Her skill set provides a foundational understanding of the everyday hurdles employers face in today’s benefit landscape. Leslie currently partners with a variety of groups ranging from startup companies to employers with over 20,000 employees, all with their own set of unique complexities. Whether it’s problem solving, experience with rapid growth/mergers/acquisitions, financial review, ongoing compliance education, or an employee engagement strategy, her clients view her as a trusted adviser. Taun Stewart joined the Employee Benefits Broker Team in 2016 bringing with him a strong background in client services. Prior to GBS Benefits, Taun was a Benefits Assistant with The Hawaii Group where he helped manage benefits for over 200 clients. Taun graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is licensed in Accident, Health and Life insurance.

Cindy Kirk joined Volk GBS in 2005. She began working in an administrative position, and she is currently the Chief Operating Officer. Cindy oversees the day to day operations of Volk GBS, managing all staff. Cindy has over 12 years in the insurance industry, and prior to joining the Volk GBS team, Cindy worked in the banking industry in various operations roles, managing all administrative responsibilities for a company of 150 employees.

With a strong background and understanding of the gaming industry, he works to design benefits plans that support the objectives of hospitality businesses. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Southern Utah University.

He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Management and Finance and his MBA with a Finance emphasis. Jeff visited Salt Lake City during the Olympics and after meeting many wonderful people and enjoying the beauty Utah has to offer, he permanently moved to Utah in 2002. As an owner of GBS Benefits, Inc in Salt Lake City, Jeff offers unmatched expertise in employee benefits, problem solving, financial analysis, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Health Care Reform.

Scott has over 25 years of health insurance industry experience. He currently manages over 100 million in premium with clients ranging from 2-7,000 employees. Scott received his Bachelors of Science degree from Weber State University and continued his education at Brigham Young University, where he received his MBA with an emphasis in Finance. Scott began his career at FHP Health Care, Inc. as a National Account Executive where he worked for 6 years before moving onto Intergroup HealthCare Corporation of Utah (IHC). He worked as a Sales Manager and focused on opening and developing a new marketing department for new HMO. He then moved into the role of Director of Sales and Marketing for IHC. In 1997 he began working for GBS Benefits as a Broker/Consultant. As GBS has grown, Scott has and continues to provide excellent service to his clients as the insurance industry evolves. Scott is licensed in Health, Life and Disability insurance.
